This article could not have come at a more appropriate time for me. I made a colossal mistake (unintentionally and somewhat stupidly) about a month back and was called out on it this week. My first response was being defensive, but I immediately realized what I had caused, and I said, “I did wrong, I’m sorry. I hope you can forgive me. If you need some time, I understand.”
I noticed the change in tone of the person’s voice when I owned up and apologized.
